Nummus User Guide
Welcome to the system that will change your relationship with money. Here you will learn how the logic behind Nummus works.
Accounts and Liquidity
Nummus starts with your real money accounts. Whether it's cash, a checking, or savings account, this is where your liquidity lives.
Initial Balances
When creating an account, you define an initial balance. Nummus will keep this balance automatically updated by adding income and subtracting expenses made.
Card Mastery
A credit card is not extra money; it is a future commitment. Nummus helps you manage it through Invoices.
- Closing Date: The day the bank closes your month. Nummus uses this date to know which invoice to assign each purchase to.
- Early Payments: If you pay your card before the closing date, Nummus records it to free up your daily budget immediately.
- Carryover: If you make a partial payment, the remaining debt is automatically transferred to the next month's invoice.
The Daily Budget
This is the most important metric in the app. It is the magic number that tells you how much you can spend TODAY.
If this number is positive, you can spend it with peace of mind. If it's negative, Nummus will warn you that you are compromising your future payments.
Automation
Don't waste time recording the same things every month. Use Recurring Transactions.
You can schedule daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or yearly payments. Nummus will generate them as "pending" and send you a notification a day before so you aren't caught by surprise.
Security & Privacy
Your finances are private. Nummus offers:
- Access PIN: A 4-digit code to enter.
- Biometrics: Use your fingerprint or face for quick and secure access.
- Privacy Overlay: When you switch apps, Nummus hides your balances with a security curtain.
